A Prayer for Today

Today I feel the push to pray for our law enforcement throughout our land.  First for those in blue, our policemen and women who place themselves frequently in harms way while enforcing the law.

Lord, I pray for these men and women who know You as Lord.  I pray they will feel the need to walk closer with You and also crave the reading of Your Word.  I pray for their safety from harm as they go about their daily tasks.  I pray that You will give them wisdom in how to react to the many different situations they find themselves in while performing their duties.  I pray you will give them many of the gifts of the spirit. Lord, I pray today

I do apologize for not posting my prayer yesterday, but the things of this world kinda got in the way and I allowed them to keep me from my computer and this blog.

I did spend some time yesterday morning listening to a sermon by my preacher here in Bella Vista, Mike McCauley of Bella Vista Baptist Church.  I do enjoy his sermons, which tend to step on my toes a lot.  That is good because sometimes we all need to be shaken up a little and made to think on the things of God in a different way. For those who live without the Light

Today I have to pray for certain things as it is a very special day in the life of my family.  Today, my only daughter and my son-in-law will be commissioned to go to the mission field.  This is a dream of my daughter’s since her Junior High years and her husband shares that dream with her.  They have worked very hard to reach this point.  It has been over a two-year process in training and gathering the support they require to serve as Wycliffe Bible Translators in Pappua New Guinea.  They will be serving a tribe who has been begging for a translator for some time now.  These people desire the Bible in their own heart language and have been waiting a long time.

We, here in the US are so lucky that we have Bibles in our language and even many translations available to us.   Yet still we tend to ignore God’s Word to us. Continue reading “Sunday, November 13, 2016”

Donald the businessman

Today I’ve been relaxing and enjoying my life.  The state of our nation has been on the back of my mind.  I love it, because I can now be more relaxed since I once again have hope for the future.  Mr. Trump and his team continue to work on their plans and I’m hearing and reading some interesting things.  I do believe that we are beginning to see Donald Trump the businessman, hard working and ready to work with others.  I also think that Mike Pence and Ben Carson’s influence are showing with their calmer approaches.  I know many are still angry across the nation, but I hope they will give the Donald and his team a chance instead of staying ballistic about this new administration.  I pray the violence and those egging it on and paying these protesters completely stop. A prayer for Peace

Today, I’ve been reading about the many riots and protesters in several cities across our nation.  I’m also reading they may be supported and possibly paid by groups such as moveon and BLM.  This is not right and I know of no one personally who would participate in a violent riot of any kind.  This is also a holiday to remember and honor the veterans of our country.  They put their lives on the line for us and they deserve to be remembered.  Mr. Trump continues to work on his transition and new cabinet positons.  These are the things I pray about today. The Nation’s New Team

President-elect Donald Trump is beginning his transition phase and looking to choose his administration’s team and cabinet.  Meanwhile, liberal America protests and shows their true colors.  My prayers are for this today.

Dear Lord, I come to You today again lifting up my nation for Your blessing and forgiveness.  I know Your love and mercy has no bounds and that is so good for us.  I feel that we must so disappoint You many times.  However, I praise You today for Your faithfulness, even when we are unfaithful, You are faithful. I invite you to join me in prayer

Lord, today I am in awe of Your power and Your might and most assuredly Your mercy. I thank You for answered prayers and for Your protection over our candidates and our nation during this time. I worship You and praise Your name this day. Only You are God and You are the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow. You love us all the time and I thank You for that.

Lord, I want lift up our nation again to You and our new president, Mr. Trump and Mr. Pence. I pray that You will protect them and send Your Holy Spirit to guide and direct them on each step and each decision they make in preparing to serve our country in the top offices of our land. I pray You will bestow on them Your divine wisdom and love and mercy for all of the people of this land. Our land needs so much healing and many things are broken which need to be fixed in ways only You can accomplish correctly. I ask You to help each government official that the new President and Vice President and team will be working with to make wise choices and plans to transition to a new administration. I pray for much cooperation and forgiveness between the workers in both the old and new administrations. I pray You will guide in the appointments into top positions. That Your will be done in each choice. Continue reading “Wednesday, November 9, 2016”
