Yesterday was my Mother-in-Law’s 90th birthday. She is doing very well for being 90. She walks better than I do and her mind is still active and pretty sharp.
Mel and I took her out for dinner last night to celebrate her special day. We took her to Cracker Barrel because there are lots of veggies for her to choose from as well as soups.
Esther is a lady that truly loves the Lord and I know where she will be heading when her life is over here. She has had a long life, but not all of us are granted 90 years here on earth. My own parents only lived until they were 67 and then passed. I won’t see them again until I see them in heaven. Continue reading “Wednesday, May 4, 2017, My Prayer for Today”
As American all across this country, prepare to sit back, relax, eat and enjoy the traditional Super Bowl football game, our nation continues to be attacked from within. Many of our own misguided citizens, those who live in darkness and ignorance of a Holy and loving God, continue to promote their ungodly and evil ideas. Many of our wealthiest citizens, those who have acquired their great wealth by living in this land of freedom and opportunity, fund evil organizations and violent ones whose objectives are to destroy the American way of life and the rights of conservatives and Christians who live in this land. Many persons who have taken advantage of our open borders and weak former President are even now plotting to destroy our infrastructure and our peoples. They will not be satisfied until every non-Muslim is killed in the most horrible manner and all references to the Living God of the Bible, are removed from our land, our laws, our history and our media. Continue reading “Sunday, February 5, 2017, Prayer for our Nation”
Its been several days since I’ve posted my prayer for our nation so I’ll be catching up on some things I need to pray for. Of course I’ll be praying for our nations new administration and the new President and his team, the safety of our nation and its citizens, the prosperity of our nation and its citizens, the faith of our Christian believers across the nation and the salvation of the non-believers who live in darkness without hope of an eternity with God.
First, A Praise
Last night, my husband and I were watching a documentary on the 1980 incident at the Titan 2 silo site in Damascus, Arkansas. I would have been in my late 20’s and he in his early 30’s. I really can’t remember anything of the incident. At that age, I was so focused on my activities and my coaching and sports, I paid no attention to news and watched very little TV. After watching the documentary, I now realize how close Arkansas came to being eradicated completely by a nuclear explosion. That would have been the end of us, all due to a simple tool dropping accident. Continue reading “Wednesday, January 11, 2017”
Today Lord, I come to you, asking for forgiveness and Your help for myself first. I was gently admonished today by a non-believing friend and reminded that words are divisive. Of course its not something I was unaware of and I definitely agree that words can both help and hurt. It seems like in our world of today, not only is there a battle of spirit, mind and body, but certainly that of words too. I think a wide-spread disease that runs through our society of today is “diarrhea of the mouth”.
Today I have to pray for certain things as it is a very special day in the life of my family. Today, my only daughter and my son-in-law will be commissioned to go to the mission field. This is a dream of my daughter’s since her Junior High years and her husband shares that dream with her. They have worked very hard to reach this point. It has been over a two-year process in training and gathering the support they require to serve as Wycliffe Bible Translators in Pappua New Guinea. They will be serving a tribe who has been begging for a translator for some time now. These people desire the Bible in their own heart language and have been waiting a long time.
